The GSA (http://www.geosociety.org) was established in 1888 and provides
access to elements that are essential to the professional
growth of earth scientists at all levels of expertise and from
all sectors: academic, government, business, and industry. Its
main mission is to advance the geosciences, to enhance the
professional growth of its members, and to promote the geosciences
in the service of humankind. The Geological Society
of America publishes several important journals and magazines,
including the Bulletin of the Geological Society of
America, Geology, and GSA Today.
